New York, NY (PRWEB) April 27, 2015 -- Movable Ink, the contextual experience engine for innovative email marketers, today announced the recent additions of Miles Williams as Chief Marketing Officer and Matthew Smith as Vice President of Product to support and accelerate the company’s rapid growth.
Movable Ink offers an end-to-end contextual marketing engine for email that works with any email service provider (ESP), allowing marketers to automate, optimize, and personalize campaigns to drive online and offline sales.
“Successful companies are built and scale around a team of people guided by a clear and common purpose,” said Vivek Sharma, Chief Executive Officer of Movable Ink. “The respective expertise of Miles and Matthew aligns with our core vision to build and promote tools that focus on the consumer experience, regardless of the marketing channel.”
Mr. Williams brings over 20 years of experience in sales and marketing. He will oversee Movable Ink’s global marketing, including brand development, demand generation, PR, and partnerships. Most recently, Williams was Vice President of Marketing for Shutterstock, where he built the team responsible for localizing brand strategy, customer acquisition and retention, communications and content marketing in over 150 countries. Previously, he held senior positions in e-commerce, online marketing and B2B sales for Barnes & Noble and Pearson Education.
“With my background in digital marketing and e-commerce, and understanding the challenges brands face to stand out in a crowded inbox today, I immediately appreciated the tremendous advantages Movable Ink provides. Our platform enables marketers to build unique, relevant consumer experiences at massive scale, which in turn drives engagement and, more importantly, ROI for our clients,” said Williams. “I was impressed by the platform’s sophistication and see great opportunity to build upon Movable Ink’s leadership position and tell our story of innovation and disruption.”
Mr. Smith has an extensive background in developing and launching B2B products. He will help plan Movable Ink’s business strategy from a product perspective and oversee product development, design and UX, and research. Most recently, Smith was General Manager of Offset.com, a Shutterstock subsidiary. He was previously Director of New Products at Shutterstock, where he led the company’s video, mobile and new product strategy. Prior to Shutterstock, Smith was Senior Product Manager at Gerson Lehrman Group, where he built and ran the company’s survey and Q&A business.
“Having successfully launched numerous tech products and services, I can confidently say that Movable Ink sits right at the convergence of shifting consumer needs and a desire among brands to address those needs with intelligent software,” said Smith. “I see numerous opportunities to continue building out our technology to ensure Movable Ink’s new and existing clients stay ahead of the curve and receive maximum benefit.”
