MRG to Host Interactive Aerial Lift Seminar
King of Prussia, PA (PRWEB) July 26, 2013 -- In response to several recent lift related accidents, leading Mid-Atlantic risk management brokerage Madison Risk Group (MRG) today announced it will host an aerial lift fall protection seminar as part of its continuing seminar series.
The presentation will address aerial work platform safety standards including fall protection, equipment inspections and operator training. In addition to classroom training, the seminar will feature live demonstrations and attendee participation involving fall protection rescue equipment and techniques.
Each year, an average of 25 construction workers die from aerial lift accidents as a result of tip-overs, falls and electrocution. The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupation and Safety Health Administration (OSHA) is requiring continued education, certification and hands-on training for aerial and scissor lifts.
“In light of several recent events in the area, the need for continued education regarding aerial lift fall protection is clear,” said Ron Ebert, president of Madison Risk Group. “Workers should be trained by qualified personnel on all aspects of the lift. Our goal is that all of our clients’ employees return home safely at the end of the day.”
Joining MRG in hosting the seminar will be Trico Lift, an aerial lift specialist company with offices nationwide and FallProof Systems, a Trenton-based designer and manufacturer of fall prevention equipment.
The aerial lift fall protection seminar will be held on September 19 from 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at FallProof Systems Headquarters, 61 Second Avenue Trenton, New Jersey. There is no cost to invited guests.
