MSI-Viking Gage Relocates Charleston Calibration Labs and Sales Offices
Charleston, South Carolina (PRWEB) June 10, 2015 -- MSI-Viking Gage, LLC, a leading provider of precision measurement solutions to a wide range of industries, has relocated their Charleston facilities to 3130 Stanton Court in North Charleston’s Pepperdam Industrial Park. The move is effective immediately.
According to MSI-Viking Gage president, Chuck Shaw, this relocation was necessitated by the growth of the company. “We responded to a need in the low-country area when we added calibration labs here in 2007. The purchase of this building is the next step in continuing our growth and corporate expansion,” said Shaw. “This significant investment in Charleston represents MSI-Viking Gage’s commitment not only to the local economy, but to our customers and employees throughout our service area of the Carolinas and the southeast.”
MSI-Viking Gage’s recently purchased 14,000 square-foot building is about twice the size of the leased space the company previously occupied in North Charleston. “Our company has become better known and demand for the products and calibration solutions we offer has risen very quickly,” said Dan Carter, Vice President of Sales. “We have built all-new environmentally-controlled calibration laboratories here with state-of-the-art equipment and technologies to better serve the growing low-country and southeast industrial market. The sheer scope of our ISO-17025 accredited calibration service offerings is unequaled in our area.”
MSI-Viking Gage is a nearly 50 year-old company founded in 1967 and headquartered in the Greenville/Spartanburg community of Duncan, South Carolina. The company specializes in the sales, calibration and repair of precision and test gages, measuring systems and inspection services for dimensional, electronics, force, torque and pressure in manufacturing applications.
The company currently employs about 100 people including a sales team of 15 who provide personal service to manufacturing companies and industry throughout the southern states. The new building in North Charleston staffs around 25 calibration technicians, sales and support staff. The company expects continued growth in both locations and has plans to begin expansion of their Duncan headquarters facility in the 2015 fiscal year. MSI-Viking Gage is continually seeking applications for experienced dimensional and electronics calibration technicians. A source of pride at MSI-Viking Gage is that a significant portion of the company’s employees are veterans from all branches of the military.
