Mubo Aderonke Lala pens ‘Music of America from My Heart’
MIAMI (PRWEB) March 30, 2015 -- Author Mubo Aderonke Lala always had that burning desire to write a novel about America and Nigeria to explore it from a cultural point of view. And thus, it prompted her to write “Music of America from My Heart,” (published by Xlibris) the fictional story of Sarah Ann Smith Adeago, an American by birth and a Nigerian by marriage.
Separated from her biological parents, Sarah was raised by her maternal grandmother and by her Aunt Maggie in a small town called Opelika. She moved to Tennessee as a young adult and later to Miami where she married a Nigerian man. When the family moved back to Nigeria, Sarah became a well-known socialite in the Nigerian high-class inner circle only to find herself in trouble with the government, who found her guilty of the crime of conspiracy. In spite of everything, she was a courageous woman who is not afraid to express herself as an American even while she herself was separated from her own siblings.
“This novel will appeal to anyone who believes that life is a journey and that everyone and everything a person will encounter will make that journey a story,” says Lala. “Mother Nature directs our path and molds us who we really are.”
A very touching read that will bring a tear into readers’ eyes, “Music of America from My Heart” shows how the relationship between two different cultures and the nasty side of fame is not enough to break one’s heart that has a genuine love for music and patriotic feelings.
