Multi-Talented Stars Omar Gooding and Angell Conwell Discuss Career & the new season of "Family Time" on Bounce TV with Maria Menounos' Black Hollywood Live Network
(PRWEB) October 15, 2014 -- The two met each other through mutual friends before working together on the hit movie Baby Boy. Gooding recalls at the table read for Baby Boy, “She said I’m here to play Snoop’s girlfriend and I remember thinking to myself I didn’t know Snoop had a girlfriend,” he laughed.
Gooding credits John Singleton for his decision to not limit himself in the business. He said, “It was really hard to book an acting job that wasn’t comedic growing up. It was hard for me to be taken seriously with those type of roles.” After Singleton saw a serious face Gooding in a high school drama, he told him that he would play the character Sweetpea in Baby Boy. “For me it was a shock that he saw that in me.”
Conwell won’t be limiting herself either. She assured that music is just a hobby for her as of now but possibly dabbling into it in the future. “Maybe one day, you never know.”
The two stars shared season 2 spoilers for Family Time on Bounce TV. Gooding shared that they now have a barbershop set and Conwell discussed a particular episode where they try to spruce up their relationship. Regarding her character Lisa Stallworth, Conwell stated, “I feel like she’s an authentic representation of women but especially African American women. We’re dynamic, we can do many things and we have a lot of different layers.” Miguel and Al Shearer will also guest star this season on the series.
You can catch both Gooding and Conwell on the season 2 premiere of Family Time which kicks off Tuesday Oct.14 on Bounce TV at 10pm.
