Multiple Equine Not For Profit Charities to Receive Christmas Gifts from Horseland Store Donations, New Holiday Stock Just Released
Nunawading, VIC (PRWEB) December 11, 2014 -- For the whole month of December, customers of Australia’s top horse equipment retailer, Horseland, will get the chance to donate gifts at their local outlets for a good cause. Various equine not for profit charities will receive gifts purchased in store by customers; some of which may be among the new holiday stock recently released and viewable in their current Christmas catalogue.
Australians are the leading horse lovers in the world. According to an Animals Australia survey, 66% of Australian households have pets and out of that, 3.9% have horses. Sadly, there are thousands of pets, including horses, which get neglected, abused or worse.
Thankfully, there are equine not for profit organisations who actively help those less fortunate animals, including horses. These charities look to educate the public about horses, performs horse rescues and rehabilitation; and this year Australia’s largest equine retailer is adding their influence to the cause.
“Give the gentle giants some love for Christmas day through our gift-giving program, which we call ‘Wishing Tree for Xmas’”, says Kym West, the Online Marketing Coordinator at Horseland. “It works both ways, too it helps horses in need while our customers get that wonderful warm feeling of knowing they are able to help these animals.”
The process for donating for the Wishing Tree for Xmas is simple: Customers shop at one of the Australia-wide retail stores; pick an item, like a rug, saddles, bandages, head collars, training accessories or any other item; then place that purchase in a specially marked donation bin. Then the gift gets donated by Horseland to the appropriate equine not for profit: Save A Horse Australia (Queensland), Horse Rescue (New South Wales), Project Hope Horse Rescue (Victoria), RSPCA (Tasmania), RDA WA (Western Australia), and Windamere Horse Haven (South Australia).
Ms. West goes on to say, “This is just the beginning of a series of charitable events we are planning for the equestrian community. We’ve always been active in sponsoring horse riding events, and are currently supporting riders and horse care groups.” She further explains. “And this year we decided to let our customers join in the giving back process.”
