Mygooi World Tour Kicks off in Netherlands; Columbia College Chicago Grads on Front Lines
Chicago (PRWEB) April 26, 2014 -- Mygooi, a new cloud-based mobile technology brand with headquarters in Des Moines, Iowa, and Chennai, India, kicked off its world tour today in Amsterdam, the company said. On the tour’s first leg, Greenwood and members of his staff will visit Amsterdam and Hilversum in The Netherlands, and pass through Berlin, London and Paris before returning to Omaha, Neb., for the premier entrepreneurial and innovation conference known as Big Omaha.
Hilversum is the largest town in the North Holland region known as “Het Gooi.”
“Mygooi is a destination,” said CEO Paul N. Greenwood. “It’s flexible and versatile. As a networking business tool, it is what you want it to be, where you want it to be.”
Greenwood and his team are working the grassroots in the cities they are visiting, discussing Mygooi’s mission and distributing branded merchandise to acquaint residents with their organization, which has been described as a fresh, disruptive take on business networking that emphasizes relationships and warm leads.
Spreading the word are two graduates of the marketing communication program at Columbia College Chicago: Hilary David, Mygooi’s International event coordinator, and Jaclyn Franchetti, brand marketing and social media manager. Greenwood said, “Their education, respectively in public relations and marketing made them ready to jump right in and move us forward.” Contemporaries, both went to Columbia from Des Moines, graduating in 2011 and 2012.
Says David, “I’m thrilled, particularly in this tight economy, to have a job with an innovative and exciting company that’s growing daily. The opportunity to travel the world is a bonus. Columbia prepared us to make a difference.”
The GooiNation Street Team will be introducing the company’s next development this spring. In particular, Big Omaha will highlight the upcoming world debut of the Mygooi mobile device platform and feature a gathering of entrepreneurs seeking to promote themselves and their businesses at no cost. Festivities in Omaha take place from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7, at the historic 1316 Jones Street near Omaha’s Old Market. The night will feature a unique form of business karaoke called “GooiKaraoke” with a live Omaha DJ, a cash bar and complimentary food and drinks. GooiKaraoke participants will be eligible to win a variety of prizes including iPads or a promotional video, valued at $10,000, for their business produced by television producer/director/actor Ed Ellington.
Interested persons can find more details on Mygooi and RSVP for the Omaha event through the GooiNation Omaha Facebook at http://bit.ly/GooiNationOmaha.
Mygooi recently announced that it selected the image hosting service Imgur as its primary vehicle for netting international market awareness. Mygooi is posting most of its branded content on Imgur and will be hosting a 2014 global meme challenge on the Imgur platform that offers the winner a $5,000 travel voucher to any destination in the world.
Mygooi has target markets in Europe, Japan, China, India and the Americas and will debut its latest mobile platform shortly through the Apple App Store and Google Play.
