Myriant Announces Executive Leadership Changes
QUINCY, MASS. (PRWEB) August 28, 2015 -- The Board of Directors of Myriant Corporation (“Myriant”), an affiliate of PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (“PTTGC”), has announced that Cenan Ozmeral, Ph.D. will retire as Myriant’s President and Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Ozmeral will continue to serve as a Special Advisor to the Board and management providing his insights and industry expertise. Dennis McCullough, Ph.D., currently Vice President, International Business Operations at PTTGC has been appointed Myriant’s President and Chief Executive Officer and will immediately assume leadership and continue operations at Myriant.
Cenan Ozmeral, Ph.D., commented "After 35 years in the chemical industry and 7 years with Myriant, I have decided to retire from my roles at Myriant. Serving as President and CEO of Myriant Corporation has been a rewarding endeavor as we have continued our transformation to a fully-integrated commercial operation. I have great confidence that Dennis and the Myriant team will continue to move the company forward on its path to successful commercialization and global expansion.”
Dr. McCullough joins Myriant following his 25 year career as a senior executive with an extensive background in the chemical, plastics and polymer industries. Most recently at PTTGC, Dr. McCullough served as Vice President, International Business Operations. Prior to this, Dr. McCullough has held a variety of executive positions during his 23 year career at Bayer and Bayer Material Science, and he also has served as Vice President, South East Asia at Synthomer. Dr. McCullough earned an MBA from The Eli Broad Graduate School of Management at Michigan State University, and a Ph.D. and a B.S. in chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh.
