MyScript® to Showcase Education Use Cases for Handwriting Technology at ISTE 2015
Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) June 29, 2015 -- MyScript®, market leader in handwriting recognition and digital ink management technology, will demonstrate its solutions for education technology developers at the ISTE Conference and Expo, June 28-July 1 in Philadelphia.
At the ISTE Conference and Expo, MyScript will demonstrate how its industry-leading recognition engines for text, math, shape, and music can be leveraged by developers to enhance the teacher and student experience. MyScript technology allows students to write with digital technology as easily as they would with a paper and pencil or chalk on a board while allowing them to create and organize their content in an interactive and dynamic digital form. The ink recognition technology makes handwritten input easier to search, edit, and share, streamlining everything from note-taking in class to completing assignments and collaborating on group projects.
MyScript technology allows students to use handwriting to capture thoughts in a way that keyboarding cannot provide. With smart note-taking, students can transform handwritten notes into shareable, formatted documents right on their devices and easily share the information. Students can write equations and see the results in real time. They can create handwritten diagrams and geometric figures and instantly convert them to digital documents. They can even compose, edit, and share music using traditional handwritten notation.
The technology is being leveraged by developers to create interactive lessons and educational games, online interactive learning programs, and assessment tools. In the MyScript booth, education application developer Mathspace will demonstrate how it is utilizing MyScript technology in its award-winning adaptive math program for mobile devices. Mathspace has also been selected as a finalist in the Ed Tech Start-Up Pitch Fest at the event.
“Education technology providers are looking for ways to provide more intuitive and engaging experiences for students and teachers,” said Rick Seger, Senior Vice President, Business Development, at MyScript. “We believe that handwriting facilitates more meaningful and collaborative learning, and are excited to empower developers to leverage our technology in bringing innovative educational tools to market.”
At ISTE 2015, MyScript will also demonstrate its new Geometry interactive input method, a shape recognition capability that targets use cases such as geometry course material creation and learning games.
