N2 Publishing Makes Major Move, Celebrates “Month of Milestones”
(PRWEB) July 15, 2014 -- N2 Publishing turned 10 in June, a major milestone in the firm’s history – and this month marks yet another round of achievements. Already boasting a respectable growth record, N2 is now working with 400-plus Area Directors, produces more than 500 publications and is in the midst of moving its operation to a more expansive office building.
Ranked the 17th fastest-growing media company in the nation by Inc. Magazine last year, N2 is also on track to land on the Inc. 5000 list for the fourth consecutive year.
“The first five to six years in business, we experienced growth at a steadier pace. But these last four years have been phenomenal. We've grown at a rate of 80% year over year each year,” CEO Duane Hixon said. “We believe in our product, and we see the value it has in the communities we work with. We're not merely growing just to grow, but because we are passionate about connecting people in a local way.”
Now serving markets in 47 states, N2 is responsible for designing, printing and shipping more than 500 magazines every month. In order to keep up with production demand, they have hired 33 new workers for their home office so far this year – up from the 30 new employees brought on in 2013.
“We are averaging at least one new hire every week. From graphic designers to field support to press operators, this business is truly a team effort and as demand increases, we are excited for more great people to join our work family,” Hixon said.
In addition to home office employees, N2 Publishing is welcoming a fast-rising number of Area Directors to the team as well. These “ADs” are heading resident-focused magazines in neighborhood communities across the nation.
Back at the home-base in Southeastern N.C., N2 is preparing for a move, according to Hixon. They have officially expanded beyond capacity at their current location and will begin transitioning into a new 32,000 square foot office space by month’s end.
“It's a great space, and a great location. But truly, we are still a startup company. We have ‘budget’ desks, bad carpet, and our AC usually works, but not always. But we have the greatest people, top of the line equipment, and we are focused,” Hixon said.
“Our story is just beginning. There are plenty of communities still waiting for an opportunity to connect more authentically. We have only scratched the surface.”
