névo and Sunpartner Technologies Announce névo solar : the World’s First Solar Powered Analog Smartwatch
Aix-en-Provence, France, December 26, 2014 (PRWEB) January 03, 2015 -- Névo has created a connected watch combining a precision Swiss movement, activity sensors, and Bluetooth notification capacity in a minimalist and elegant design for those who want the benefits of a smartwatch without sacrificing style. In order to further increase the already impressive battery life of their connected watch, névo has launched a strategic partnership with Sunpartner Technologies, inventor of the invisible photovoltaic component Wysips® which can allow any surface to produce its own electricity through exposure to light.
The collaboration will develop, test, and commercialize a solar-powered version of the névo connected watch. The new watch, named névo solar, will use the energy production of the photovoltaic Wysips® component to offer nearly unlimited battery life without impacting the watch’s aesthetics, even with frequent use of névo’s integrated activity and health sensors.

This groundbreaking innovation utilizes Sunpartner Technologies’ invisible Wysips® solution, embedding the best photovoltaic materials available into the watch face and connecting them to an on-board rechargeable battery. The highly efficient Wysips® system powers standalone functions of the watch including activity tracking and smart notifications.
