NAAMTA Presents Eagle III with Medical Transport Accreditation
Green Bay, Wisconsin (PRWEB) September 21, 2016 -- As a result of an independent, external audit of administrative documentation, medical practices, and facilities, Eagle III is being awarded accreditation for their rotor-wing program by the National Accreditation Alliance of Medical Transport Applications (NAAMTA).
Accreditation verifies that an organization meets or exceeds minimum standards of quality. The NAAMTA accreditation program is founded upon standards that focus on quality patient care and safety, while providing service-based consultative and educational processes, and established best practices. NAAMTA accreditation is recognized as a symbol of quality by industry peers, third-party payers, medical organizations, liability insurance companies, state and federal agencies and by the public.
The NAAMTA Accreditation Standards identify criteria in all aspects of medical transport, including business policies, licensure, education, skills maintenance, communication, safety, etc. Through the accreditation process, Eagle III demonstrated compliance to each of the defined standards and excelled in identifying best practice procedures. NAAMTA verified their compliance through employee interviews, on-site evaluations, and process reviews, all of which were conducted using ISO 9001:2008 auditing guidelines.
In speaking of the accreditation process, Shaun Stamnes, Eagle III’s Air Medical Coordinator said, “The NAAMTA re-accreditation process was a very smooth and stress free event. The auditors were friendly and well prepared. Throughout the entire process they were attentive to our procedures and offered suggestions…Through NAAMTA's methods of reporting our continued compliance and filing the ongoing reports, a good portion of the re-accreditation process was completed prior to our site audit. Completing this process reaffirmed why we chose NAAMTA for our accreditation.”
As an accredited organization, Eagle III is a participating member of the NAAMTA Alliance. This alliance unifies accredited organizations in the vanguard of continuous improvement through the sharing of education, experiences, and the skills of each member working to improve patient care and cultivating an environment of safety.
Lisa Gee, a member of the NAAMTA team, stated: “Eagle III provides first-rate medical transport services to Green Bay and surrounding areas, and we recognize them as a valuable member of the NAAMTA Alliance. Their partnership with County Rescue and with area hospitals demonstrates their ability and commitment to meeting the medical transport needs of the community in an exemplar way. ”
