NAELA Celebrates National Elder Law Month in May
Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) April 30, 2015 -- The National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) established May as National Elder Law Month as a way to educate older Americans and their families on living trusts, powers of attorney, physical and financial elder abuse, Medicare, Medicaid, long-term care insurance, and other important issues. This annual event is an opportunity for NAELA member attorneys to meet face-to-face with their neighbors in the community to answer questions on important topics for older Americans and their families.
Many NAELA members will be out in their communities in May:
• Conducting a Living Will/Health Care Proxy Day;
• Presenting a seminar at the local senior or community center;
• Providing pro bono services; or
• Lecturing at a law school.
