SAN JOSE, Calif. (PRWEB) December 13, 2017 -- Nakamichi announced its CES 2018 program today, highlighted by the "Best High-End Soundbar in the World" blind comparison shoot-out event. This is the first event of its kind, and is being held at the annual Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, USA. Attendees will be able to experience and compare the best of the best soundbars above $1,000, including Nakamichi's newly-launched Shockwafe Ultra 9.2ch DTS:X Soundbar. Entry is free with limited spaces available.

Consumers are upgrading their TVs, but how about their audio?
The growing ascendancy of the home cinema has paved the way for consumers to upgrade to HDTVs that are thinner, more elegant, and deliver content in higher resolution. Audio technology has also improved, but the premium, advanced home theater sound systems are bulky and complex, made of piles of equipment, unwanted messy wires, time-consuming cable management, and even in some cases, costly home renovations. While soundbars are traditionally known to provide the much-desired simplicity and sound improvements to home theater, is there one that can raise the bar and perform similarly to an audio/video receiver (AVR) system?

Who will win the "Best High-End Soundbar in the World" title?
While there is already winner for the best HDTV: LG 4K OLED TV, the same cannot be said for high-end soundbars. This event aims to uncover the undisputed champion for soundbars above $1,000. Summary of event:

  • During registration, attendees will vote for two other soundbars that they want to compare against Shockwafe Ultra 9.2ch DTS:X Soundbar during the shoot-out.
  • With limited spaces available, there will be a total of 8-10 shoot-out sessions at CES 2018 that will last for 30 minutes each.
  • During each shoot-out session, there will be 4 rounds. Different types of content will be played in each round, including Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and others.
  • Attendees will be given score cards to vote on the best-sounding soundbar for each round.
  • After tabulating results, the Best High-end Soundbar will be announced after CES 2018.
