Namasté Solar Names Ben Griffin New Commercial Project Development Manager - Northeast Region
BOULDER, COLORADO (PRWEB) June 16, 2015 -- Namasté Solar, an employee-owned cooperative and leading developer, designer, builder and operator of solar electric systems for commercial, non-profit, government and residential customers throughout the United States, announced today that Ben Griffin, previously the company’s Commercial Project Developer, will be broadening his current role. Griffin will be working as Namasté Solar’s Commercial Project Development Manager - Northeast Region, a recently created position to help further the company’s expanding operations in the Northeastern United States.
Griffin will lead planning and front-line tactical development work in the Northeast for Namasté Solar, primarily out of the company’s Boulder office. His responsibilities include evaluating emerging market opportunities in the Northeast, determining project development strategies to most efficiently serve Northeast areas, building key partnerships with the region’s system owners and operators, and identifying and establishing relationships with key power off-takers.
“I’m extremely excited about this new opportunity with Namasté Solar, and to be part of the company’s regional expansion to White Plains, New York and the Northeast,” said Griffin. “The company’s track record in numerous regions, including the Northeast, demonstrates Namasté Solar’s ability to add significant value to projects across a variety of markets. I’m looking forward to strengthening Namasté Solar’s reputation and track record in the Northeast.”
In 2006, Griffin joined Namasté Solar and has since designed and estimated more than 400 PV systems across the country, totaling over 50 MW. Griffin’s projects have included roof, awning, carport, pole-top, and both fixed tilt- and single-axis tracking ground-mounted arrays. Throughout his tenure at Namasté Solar, Griffin has held the positions of Installation Specialist, New Construction Specialist, and Commercial Project Developer, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of all the elements of a successful solar PV installation.
“Ben has proved to be an extraordinary industry leader and has established many high-quality and profitable projects in a competitive, multi-national market throughout his career. We look forward to embarking on this new journey with Ben, and bringing more sustainable energy to the Northeastern United States,” said Cynthia Christensen, Commercial Sales Director at Namasté Solar.
Namasté Solar’s White Plains office is located at 50 Main Street, Suite 1000, and is the company’s first office location outside of Colorado, dedicated solely to commercial scale projects.
