NANA Announces the 2015 Dates for Botulinum Toxin Therapy Updates: Focus on Limb Dysfunction
NEW ALBANY, OH (PRWEB) February 19, 2015 -- The North American Neurotoxin Association has announced that the 2015 Botulinum Toxin Therapy Update: Focus on Limb Dysfunction will be held Saturday, April 18, 2015 in Washington, DC; and again on Saturday, May 9, 2015 in New Albany, OH.
“The program includes cutting edge science and practical use of botulinum toxins. It is a must for new and experienced injectors,” said Laxman Bahroo, DO, Director Botulinum Toxin Clinic, Assistant Director Neurology Residency Program, Assistant Professor of Neurology, Georgetown University Hospital and Course Director.
The 2015 programs are fully interactive with case-based presentations and workshops that provide a review of the mechanism of action, therapeutic rationale, and clinical application of botulinum neurotoxin in the management of limb dysfunction. This conference includes a live patient workshop for neurologists, physiatrists, pain specialists, and resident physicians interested in learning more about botulinum toxin therapy and limb injections techniques as well as, a comprehensive review of upper and lower muscle anatomy with a cadaver lab. Participants will also have an opportunity to review ultrasound, electromyography (EMG), and electrical stimulation guidance updates and the most recent billing and coding recommendations.
“We are excited to offer physicians hands on review of anatomy with a cadaver lab at NANA 2015. Many physicians have not had this type of learning opportunity since medical school,” said Martin Taylor, DO, PhD, Neurology/OrthoNeuro, Clinical Associate Professor, Neurology, Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Columbus, Ohio and Course Director.
“Practitioners will also be able to observe live injections by nationally renowned experts using ultrasound and EMG guidance. These opportunities will directly help them in their daily practice.”
