nanoCAD Mechanica 9.0 is based on the updated nanoCAD Plus 10 platform and provides users with new possibilities for modern design. Key functionality of nanoCAD Mechanica is based on Library of parametrical design elements. It was initially developed to support 2D parametrical design. These are various bearings, fasteners, springs, gearboxes, electric motors, etc. Many elements of this base are parametric objects and have certain relations with each other, set by the rules of engineering standards. New nanoCAD Mechanica 9.0 incorporates 3D solid modelling kernel C3D from C3DLabs. It provides users with feature-based 3D modelling, as well as extended export/import functionality in the most common formats: STL, IGES, STEP, etc. Ribbon interface of nanoCAD Mechanica 9.0 was designed to meet requests of users, it is ergonomic and de facto standard for modern CAD applications.
