Napa Valley Unified School District Begins Paperless Flyer Distribution with Peachjar
Napa, CA (PRWEB) July 18, 2014 -- Peachjar, a San Diego based technology company, is on a mission to help schools get out of the flyer delivery business. Napa Valley Unified School District (NVUSD) recently implemented Peachjar’s innovative system for distributing school flyers electronically. According to Kelly Cliff, NVUSD Webmaster and Information Specialist, “Peachjar is very easy to use. It is helping our district accomplish our goal of becoming greener. School staff and parent clubs have been very enthusiastic about this initiative.”
Since it introduced Peachjar in April 2014, NVUSD has eliminated the need to print over 820,000 paper flyers, saving nearly 100 trees. Additionally, the school district no longer incurs the administrative burden and costs associated with paper flyer distribution.
Since community organizations also use the system to distribute their school-approved eflyers and post them online, Peachjar makes it easy for parents to connect with youth sports and enrichment programs. These school-approved flyers are emailed directly to parents who see an image of the eflyer right on their smartphone or computer screen. Clicking on the eflyer takes parents to the organization’s website, where parents can sign up for programs and activities.
About Peachjar:
Peachjar was founded in 2011 in response to the billions of paper flyers being carried home from schools each year in children’s backpacks. The company has helped schools across the nation improve their school-to-home communication by delivering eflyers directly to parents. Check out Peachjar’s one-minute animatic to learn more.
