SKOKIE, Ill., April 21, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- NAPCO, Ltd. (North American Polymer Company), a national manufacturer of refinishing products and a kitchen and bath refinishing training company, announced a substantial product donation to the Chicago Habitat for Humanity ReStore. The most recent gift includes thousands of dollars in high ticket home improvement items that will help contribute to the work of Habitat for Humanity.
"Here at NAPCO, one of our primary missions has always been to help others move forward in their careers and their lives," said Sara Laamiri, Marketing Manager at NAPCO. "We believe that when our neighbors succeed, we all succeed! Finding ways to stay involved and contribute to our community is one of our core values."
Habitat for Humanity ReStores are independently owned and operated reuse stores connected with the greater Habitat for Humanity nonprofit. These ReStores accept donations and sell home improvement items to the general public at a fraction of the retail price. Proceeds from the ReStores are used to help build strength, stability, and self-reliance in local communities and around the world by providing affordable living and economic opportunities.
NAPCO has contributed to the local Habitat for Humanity chapter every month for the past three years, dedicating 18 volunteer person-hours monthly. Employees complete tasks like unloading trucks, cleaning items and appliances, and/or assembling donated items. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, NAPCO was forced to limit in-person interactions with ReStores and instead focus on product donation. In its most recent contribution, NAPCO was able to donate thousands of dollars worth of common refinishing materials and equipment including paint spray guns, and parts. These tools and other home refinishing products are always in high demand as ReStores.
"Contributing to the mission of the Chicago Habitat for the Humanity ResStore is important since many of our employees and partners are invested in this ongoing relationship," Laamiri added. "We're glad that we've been able to donate important home improvement items to help support our community."
