In 1979, bathtub and tile refinishing was revolutionizing the remodeling industry. After the death of the original owner in the early 1990’s, the company floundered. In 1992, Steve Coven, a customer, came to the rescue and purchased NAPCO. Steve revitalized the company by providing superior service and top quality products.

In 1999, Steve decided training could be an important part of NAPCO’s product mix. He hired Mike Ripp, a veteran refinisher and trainer. Over the years, training has become a key driving force for growth at NAPCO.
