NAPW Announces Renee H. Scudder, Senior Director of Marketing & Business Development at Pacific Fertility Center (PFC), a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year

Ms. Scudder is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in marketing. “My career in marketing started in 1991,” says Ms. Scudder, Senior Director of Marketing & Business Development at Pacific Fertility Center (PFC). “Early on, I assumed managerial and operations roles, becoming fascinated with how businesses reach customers, or patients, in the case of healthcare.”
Ms. Scudder’s passion for understanding consumer behavior was ignited early in her career by working at The Hay Group, an international consulting firm. “I was exposed to innovative corporations and top leadership research, such as the work of David McClelland and Daniel Goleman,” says Ms. Scudder. This work not only helped her understand consumer behavior but also team and executive leadership theory.
Today, Ms. Scudder brings nearly 25 years of marketing experience to her role at PFC, a pioneering, world-class fertility center in San Francisco. She manages marketing strategy, sales and all business development for PFC. “PFC's reach is both national and international and although responsible for business growth, I am also responsible for creating brand equity and strength at the highest level,” she says. Though it may be challenging to drive results against deadlines and revenue goals while simultaneously motivating teams toward time-sensitive, demanding goals, Ms. Scudder remains passionate and motivated by the rewards of evidence-based and results-oriented marketing.
