NAPW Boston, MA Local Chapter Welcomed New President Lisa Strunin at a Networking Event & Vendor Showcase in July
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) July 30, 2013 -- Members and guests of the NAPW Boston, MA Local Chapter gathered on July 11th for a professional networking meeting at the Capital Grille in Chestnut Hill, MA.
The event kicked off Lisa Strunin’s tenure as Boston Chapter President.
At the meeting, the group of professional women had the opportunity to network and showcase their businesses and products during a Vendor Showcase portion of the evening.
After introducing herself to members and guests, Boston President Lisa Strunin talked about her goals for the Chapter for the upcoming year.
“My goals for this year are to have active membership participation where we can collectively bring in new and fresh ideas to the forefront, stimulate personal growth, build stronger business and career alliances, learn new concepts and harness our collective talents”, said President Strunin.
The Chapter President told the group of professional women that with everyone’s active commitment and participation, she is confident they will meet these goals and foster professional and personal success.
The open Boston Chapter Board positions were discussed and there was a signup sheet for those who were interested in a specific board position.
The current open positions that were discussed included:
Social Media Specialist─ A skilled writer who likes to create content and get the “buzz” out.
Events Extraordinist– A member who likes to plan, manage logistics and who likes to reach out to people for potential speaking engagements.
Charity Outreach Coordinator – An individual who likes to get involved, help with charitable organizations and can drive charity events.
Mentor Relations Ambassador – A member who has the expertise in building supportive relationships between mentor and mentee.
“During the Vendor Showcase, each member and guest had the opportunity to introduce themselves, and share information about their professions, products and services and goals,” said Chapter President Lisa Strunin.
Jill Carreiro, Founder of CleverRelish handed out her baby invention, WipesWraps, a baby wipe cover that stretches on the package to turn the unsightly baby wipe tubs into the perfect accessory for any room.
Members in attendance included: Kristine Bahar, Jill Carriero, Carol Colman, Susan Cunniff, Alissa Eck, Diane Halverson, Sarah McCready, Beth McDougal, Nelly Mentor Audrey Paek, Lisa Strunin, Helen Tang, Melanie Vogel and Jing Wang.
Guests in attendance included: Jolen Dolabany, Lisa Howe and Tina McGuire.
Upcoming Boston Chapter meetings are scheduled for Next Meetings: August 15th, September 12th and October 10th.
