NAPW CHAPTER Bethlehem, PA Chapter Toasted New Members at Power Hour Mixer and Held Planning Meeting in May
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) July 30, 2013 -- Members and guests of the NAPW Bethlehem, PA Local Chapter gathered on May 16th for professional networking events.
The evening began at East Stroudsburg University – Lehigh Valley Center, Bethlehem, PA with a member-only planning meeting where decisions were made about upcoming meeting themes, event topics and speakers.
The group of professional women continued the evening at Bethlehem BrewWorks where they toasted new members at a Power Hour Mixer.
“Much was accomplished during the Bethlehem Local Chapter’s monthly event in May,” said Chapter President Cordie Lacey.
“Policies and procedures were established that will help our Chapter grow and flourish this year and we welcomed new members to our organization!”
During the planning meeting, a number of new Chapter Board positions were announced. In addition to the Chapter President, the following members are taking on leadership roles in the Chapter: Membership: Diane Gagliardo and Jacqueline Nonnemacher will be responsible for membership contact and follow up; Social Media and PR: Keshay Blount will join two summer intern(s) from LaceFront Entertainment to help upkeep the Chapter’s Social Media Pages; Event Planning: Sandra Del Cueto and Diane Gagliardo will determine meeting/event topics (each quarter) and Meeting Minutes: Helen Drahos agreed to capture meeting minutes whenever she is in attendance. (A backup minute taker is still needed.)
Bethlehem Chapter members discussed how future monthly meetings will be structured. There will be networking mixers or panel discussions; speed networking events, collaborations with other Chapters and conducting/supporting nonprofit fundraisers.
Members can send newsworthy and event information to napwbethlehem(at)gmail(dot)com for subsequent posting to Facebook, Twitter and our NAPW Chapter Page by our social media team. At this time, two members and one intern (through LaceFront Entertainment, LLC.) will be working on this. News can be anything a member may want to share with both members and nonmembers. Members may also share news, information and upcoming events directly through our LinkedIn group.
After the planning meeting, members and guests got together at a “Power Hour” Mixer and New Member Toast at Bethlehem BrewWorks, where they were joined by a new guest, Yamilette Ayala. A warm welcome was given to one of the Chapter’s newest members who was attending her first Bethlehem Chapter meeting.
“We all had a great time sharing our experiences and backgrounds. A toast was made to our newest member, Keshay Blount!” said President Cordie Lacey.
