NAPW Inducts Dr. Amanda Landis-Hanna, Director of Veterinary Medicine at i4C Innovations Inc., into Its VIP Professional Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) June 30, 2015 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Dr. Amanda Landis-Hanna a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in veterinary medicine. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 700,000 members and over 200 operating local chapters.
“It gives me great pleasure to welcome Amanda into this exceptional group of professional women,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her knowledge and experience in veterinary medicine are valuable assets to her clients and company.”
From the time she was a small child, Dr. Landis-Hanna knew she wanted to be a Veterinarian. Encouraged by her parents to follow her passion, she worked in the pet care industry as a teenager, volunteered at shelters and eventually graduated with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.
For more than a decade, Dr. Landis-Hanna has worked as a Small Animal and Exotic Veterinarian, and as Medical Director at three hospitals. In 2013, she joined i4C Innovations Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Intersections Inc. as the Director of Veterinary Medicine, managing research for the company’s inaugural product, Voyce. A comprehensive health and wellness management system, Voyce includes a non-invasive health monitoring band, worn like a collar, to track key vital signs and wellness indicators. The band communicates collected data via wi-fi to an online wellness center accessible at anytime by pet parents and veterinarians alike.
A prime motivation for creating Voyce was the veterinarian’s unique challenge of caring for patients who cannot communicate their pain. Voyce allows vets to identify disease conditions, such as pain, early and effectively using objective baseline data. Dr. Landis-Hanna has played a key role in the development and marketing of Voyce, including overseeing clinical testing; leading Veterinary Partner Relationships, both advising and promoting research and sales; creating and editing educational content for Voyce members; and speaking on behalf of Voyce at educational sessions and conferences.
“I look forward to continuing development of Voyce and future Voyce products, including expansion into other species,” said Dr. Landis-Hanna. “I work with an amazing team of professionals, including biomedical engineers and technology experts, who will continue developing new and innovative animal care products. I will continue to strive for excellence in veterinary care, providing needed services and capabilities to both veterinarians and pet parents. I hope my work can help improve healthcare for animals all over the world.”
