NAPW Inducts Tammy White, CEO at Blue Sky Ranch &Airport / Equine Endeavors of Hope & Healing, Into Its VIP Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) August 04, 2015 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Tammy White as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in nonprofit services. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 700,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters.
“I’m pleased to welcome Tammy into this exceptional group of professional women,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “She is a great example of how education and passion can lead to new pathways to success.”
As a child, it had always been the wholehearted dream of Ms. White’s youngest daughter, Camber, to own a horse. After winning a horse of her very own at an EquiFest raffle at eight years old, Camber already had a plan. “She told me that she wanted to own a horse farm and use horses to help kids,” said Ms. White.
Fourteen years later, the Whites became the Owners of Blue Sky Ranch & Airport. The 40-acre ranch includes a stocked lake, a sand beach, indoor / outdoor riding arenas, large barns, airplane hangars and an airport.
Soon after, Ms. White and her husband and business partner Paul fulfilled their daughter’s lifelong wish by establishing their nonprofit, Equine Endeavors of Hope and Healing (EEHH). They provide services and support to at-risk children, special needs children, children with autism and military personnel. Her unique professional experience, coupled with Paul’s extensive history of teaching and working with at-risk youth, make them a perfect match in offering help to hurting people.
“Our dream is to use all we have been blessed with to offer hope, peace, love and acceptance to extraordinary kids and their families, and to give back to our brave military men and women who sacrifice so much for us. Blue Sky Ranch and Airport is simply amazing—we know it is ‘not because of anything we have done but because of His own purpose and grace…’ (II Timothy 1:9),” she said.
Beyond her remarkable work at Blue Sky Ranch, Ms. White is a Program Manager of Military / Special Missions programs for Textron Aviation in Wichita, KS. There, she works with international and domestic governments to ensure that their aircraft stay mission capable.
