NAPW Members Kick off Year of Success at January Networking Events
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) February 22, 2016 -- To kick off 2016 as the Year of Success, NAPW members around the country gathered at networking meetings to learn about achieving financial goals and inspiring the next generation of professional women. Recognizing January as Financial Wellness Month and National Mentoring Month, Local Chapters provided members with plenty of valuable information from finance experts, along with unique tips for helping young women navigate the professional world.
“This is our Year of Success,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “NAPW members are ready to achieve their financial fitness goals and make new mentoring connections in 2016!”
NAPW’s eChapter continues to be its fastest growing Chapter and the January 13th virtual meeting kept up the momentum. Louise Newsome, NAPW National Director of Local Chapters and NYC Chapter President, moderated a panel of financial professionals—all NAPW members—who offered members practical tips and expert advice on financial fitness.
“NAPW members learned all about financial literacy and planning from experts within our own membership at Local Chapter events and during our bi-monthly eChapter meeting,” said Ms. Newsome.
In NAPW’s Eastern Region, members and guests learned about setting financial goals and the benefits of mentoring. The NYC Chapter hosted a breakfast briefing where professional women had the opportunity to network and listen to a presentation from Dawn Fotopulos, The Hidden Profit Prophet. In Rochester, NY, members and guests learned about the importance of good financial habits.
The Aventura, FL, Chapter meeting focused on financial planning and retirement options; members and guests networked in Tampa, FL, and in Ocala, FL, member Sue Bruzdziak received the Chapter’s Community Service Award for her outstanding support of community programs. Networking and using vision boards to set financial goals kept members busy in Midlothian, VA. Networking meetings were also held in Raleigh-Durham, NC, and Southwest Central Virginia and Stafford, VA.
Members and guests in NAPW’s Western Region, including Los Angeles, North Orange County and Simi Valley, CA, and in Mesa and Chandler, AZ, learned about investment strategies and retirement planning, and the importance of taking control of their health as well as their finances.
In NAPW’s Central Region, Local Chapters in Covington, LA; Dallas and Fort Worth, TX; Gulf Coast, MS; Indianapolis, IN, and West Denver, CO, hosted top financial professionals in their areas, who shared their valuable knowledge and expertise with members and guests at networking events.
