Albion, MI (PRWEB) January 29, 2014 -- Narconon Freedom Center joins forces with the National Institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA) helping to bust the myths about drugs and drug abuse for National Drug Facts Week staring January 27th running through February 2nd,2014. The center is helping providing the truth about marijuana by giving away the “10 Things Parents May Not Know About Marijuana” booklet to teens and parents.
Some of the questions answered in the “10 Things Parents May Not Know about Marijuana” booklets are:
• Does it affect a Young Person’s ability to learn?
• Is it addictive?
• Are there any life-threatening risks?
• Does Marijuana lead to use of other drugs?
The answers to these questions and more are in the booklet which can be received at no charge. To request a digital copy of the booklet email narcononfreedomcenter(at)gmail(dot)com.
“We applaud NIDA for the work they are doing to raise awareness about drugs and drug abuse. From interviews with those enrolling in the Narconon Program, we find that the truth about marijuana, prescription drugs and illegal street drugs is not widely known. The legalization of medical and recreational use marijuana in different states has clouded the issues even more. We hope everyone reading this will request a free copy of the booklet,“ said John Walser, Senior Intake Counselor, Narconon Freedom Center Michigan.
Anyone wanting more information about drugs and drug abuse or who is trying to help someone struggling with addiction may call an Intake Counselor toll-free at 877-362-9682. All calls are no charge and confidential.
