Narconon Hungary Celebrates Expansion with Hundreds of Supporters
(PRWEB) July 30, 2013 -- The Narconon drug rehab center in Garab, Hungary has only been open for a couple of years but it has already outgrown its facilities. This summer, the executives and staff of Narconon Hungary held a party to celebrate two years of excellent success and the opening of a new accommodations building right next to the existing property.
The event was scheduled to coincide with the United Nation’s International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. More than two hundred graduates and their families, mayors from nearby cities, and the executives and staff of the Narconon center gathered to celebrate this expansion into new facilities.
Over a three-day celebration, musicians provided entertainment ranging from a harp concert by one of the country’s youngest renowned musicians, all the way to an electronic rock concert from the group Plaktron. The sculptor Gregor Gall held an exhibition of his work and local supporters were given recognition at a banquet held one evening.
A scholarship fundraiser was held so the Narconon could help those who had been unwillingly drugged into an addiction as can happen to a young woman who was secretly drugged at a club. Visiting executives from the regional Narconon office in Copenhagen presented the Garab group with a plaque recognizing them for their hard work in maintaining and expanding their humanitarian activity.
Clark Carr, the president of Narconon International in California, commented on the event: "Addiction is a serious problem everywhere on the globe. It is not an easy task to help the addicted. We appreciate the help of Narconon Garab provides in overcoming this deadly problem in Hungary."
Narconon volunteers have long delivered drug education services to this part of the world. The opening of this center not far from Budapest in June of 2011 enabled the full Narconon drug rehabilitation program to be offered. This long-term rehab program is needed in this part of the world to help those who have lost a battle with opiates, cocaine or stimulants like amphetamine.
