National Association of Mortgage Field Services (NAMFS) To Create the NAMFS Foundation and James R. Duncan Scholarship Fund
Stow, OH (PRWEB) July 23, 2013 -- The National Association of Mortgage Field Services(NAMFS) has applied to create the NAMFS Foundation, Inc. The purpose of the NAMFS Foundation, Inc. is to research and develop educational programming, curriculum, certifications and industry standards that will educate, inform, and improve practices within, but not limited to, the mortgage field services industry.
The NAMFS Foundation will benefit NAMFS members and non-members including but not limited to; investor’s (FNFA, GNMA, FHLMC) servicers, insurers (HUD, VA), partner agencies and individuals interested in the mortgage field services industry and other servicers such as appraisers and realtors. The NAMFS Foundation will develop and implement continuing education programs, certifications and informational seminars/workshops relevant to the mortgage field service industry by way of; on-line courses, field training workshops, webinar’s, community forums and seminars. The NAMFS Foundation will also provide scholarships to those who meet the requirements for the intended purpose of the scholarship.

To develop and implement positive, cohesive industry standards, through education and certification, that will impact the Mortgage Field Services Industry long term, bringing the community together.

Board members, educators and volunteers will act with honesty, integrity and openness in all their dealings as representatives of the organization.
Goals:
Cooperate with public and private agencies in the establishment of sound field service practices encouraging ethical business practices, and developing and implementing Best Practice Guidelines for the industry.
The scholarship is given in honor of James R. Duncan, long-time NAMFS member and friend. James established Metro Nationwide and continued operating for several clients, establishing a reputation for excellence in service. He acquired and shared valuable knowledge with others as an industry leader and supporter of preservation contractors with the NAMFS organization. In his memory, this scholarship will provide financial assistance to qualified students beginning in 2013. This scholarship will be given annually to a qualifying student who best demonstrates their ability and passion to make a difference in life.
