National Association of Professional Women Announces Donna K. Frazier, Director of Nursing at Southern Inyo Hospital, a 2014-2015 Professional Woman of the Year
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) January 13, 2015 -- NAPW honors Donna K. Frazier, R.N., B.S.N., Director of Nursing at Southern Inyo Hospital, as a 2014-2015 Professional Woman of the Year. Ms. Frazier is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in nursing. Donna Frazier grew up reading the popular Cherry Adams nursing series of books, which triggered her thoughts of becoming a nurse. The idea finally took flight after losing her brother to an illness. “My brother became my catalyst for wanting to ease other’s sufferings,” said Ms. Frazier, who was recently named the Interim Director of Nursing at Southern Inyo Hospital.
In order to provide the best possible care for patients, Ms. Frazier uses her exceptional management skills to make changes for the better. She does this by making it a priority to listen to her staff and taking their concerns seriously. Her main priority is for providing exceptional patient care. She is achieving this through listening to staff concerns and implementing the best way to address, manage and find workable solutions for the issues at hand.
Ms. Frazier considers her greatest accomplishments are graduating with the ADN at the age of 51 and receiving her B.S.N. (Magna cum Laude) from the Grand Canyon University at the age of 62. She is currently involved with APIC and the Emergency Nurses Association.
