National Association of Professional Women Announces Jayne R. Magnant, Director of Finance and Administration at Rhino Foods, a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) July 29, 2014 -- NAPW honors Jayne R. Magnant as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year. Ms. Magnant is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in business. “I came to Rhino in 1989 as the Office Manager / Bookkeeper,” says Ms. Magnant. "Now, as Director of Finance and Administration, I manage HR, finance and IT, and have seven direct reports.”
What started out as a small ice cream shop in Winooski, VT, known as Chessy’s Frozen Custard, has evolved into a successful company that produces products that are used in premier ice cream and frozen desserts all around the world. Rhino Foods is now located in Burlington, VT and employs more than 100 people.
“I am a supporter of Lean Practices and apply these as needed in developing and managing in the day to day,” said Ms. Magnant, a trained Accountant. “Many lean tools have been adopted within Rhino Foods and I encourage the use of PDCA for all problem solving and project management. I have also managed the implementation of an ERP system for the company in 2006 and an upgrade of that system in 2013.”
