National Association of Professional Women Announces Joanne Scattergood Reeves, Artistic Director / Performing Arts Educator, a 2015 Professional Woman of the Year
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) January 27, 2015 -- NAPW honors Joanne Scattergood Reeves as a 2015 Professional Woman of the Year. Ms. Reeves is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in performing arts education. A Performing Arts Educator, Joanne Scattergood Reeves (known professionally as Joanne Scattergood), teaches voice at Central Connecticut State University, the Westminster School in Simsbury, CT and at her private studio also located in Simsbury, CT. She is Artistic Director of Ensign-Darling Vocal Fellowship (EDVF) at The Bushnell Center of the Performing Arts. The EDVF is a “full-scholarship vocal program for a select number of very talented and highly motivated high school singers interested in classical and theatrical music.”
A successful and much sought-after performer, Ms. Reeves is a talented soprano who has performed with a number of professional choral groups, including CONCORA, Arcadia Players, The Woodland Scholars and VOCE. As a faculty member, she also regularly sings recitals.
For more than 30 years, Ms. Reeves has been sharing her talents as well as her expansive industry knowledge with students as she teaches voice, music education, vocal coaching, stage direction, choreography, costume design and rehearsal organization. Ms. Reeves also composes and arranges music and conducts master classes for choral groups, school systems and colleges nationwide.
