As operations services coordinator, Ms. Wilson expertly manages all aspects of public relations for The Dollywood Foundation. The nonprofit organization, which operates all over the U.S. as well as in Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia, provides free books to children whose families may not have the means to purchase new books for them. The mission of The Dollywood Foundation is to "share the life and legacy of Dolly Parton as an inspiration for children to 'Dream More, Learn More, Care More, and Be More!’"
Ms. Wilson is passionate about the positive impact The Dollywood Foundation and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library can have on children. “It is a proven fact that children who are read to from birth are much more likely to excel in class when they begin school,” she says.
Ms. Wilson is also actively involved with the World Taekwondo Federation. Her school TTJC-South, will offer scholarships to selected students who otherwise would not have the opportunity to compete in a National or World Cup competition. She has offered free self-defense classes to women who are in domestic violence situation, Girl Scouts, and women and children from her church.
Ms. Wilson is on the board of Animal World USA. Her love for the wolf has inspired her to write, The Trophy, a Wolf Story. She offers a free program about wolves in the U.S. to children in schools and local libraries.
