National Association of Professional Women Announces Marni Sullivan, Sole Proprietor / Writer of Arcane Vistas, a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) December 22, 2014 -- NAPW honors Marni Sullivan as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in research and writing. As the largest networking organization of professional women in the country, the National Association of Professional Women is a powerfully vibrant networking community with over 600,000 members and nearly 300 Local Chapters.
“My business developed out of a consulting practice. I was working as an academic and consulted on research projects on the side,” says Ms. Sullivan. “A couple of my clients expanded their businesses and I soon found myself working full time as a consultant, so I developed Arcane Vistas.”
The sole proprietor of Arcane Vistas, Ms. Sullivan, who has Bachelor degree in Neuroscience and Anthropology from the University of Southern California and a graduate fellowship in Neurobiology, has more than 20 years of experience in research, writing and data analysis. From scripts to peer-review articles and professional publications to presentations, she is adept at writing in a number of formats including academic, editorial, screen and professional.
“Examples of how I use my skills would start with a brainstorming session to narrow down the client’s needs. Then, I would compile the necessary information from credible sources and condense the findings into the format of the client's choice (literature review, ethnography, outline, article, screenplays or a customized database) for delivery. Occasionally, I am asked to create presentation slides and even present my findings to the client if multiple parties are involved in the same project,” explains Ms. Sullivan.
Passionate about her work, Ms. Sullivan welcomes the challenges of being a business owner and finds it to have many rewards. She looks forward to continuing to expand Arcane Vistas into the entertainment markets and hopes to soon branch out into production.
