National Association of Professional Women Announces Sallie F. Arnoult, Owner of Ethereal Designs, LLC, a 2015 Professional Woman of the Year
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) February 17, 2015 -- NAPW honors Sallie F. Arnoult as a 2015 Professional Woman of the Year. Ms. Arnoult is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in business. As the largest, most-recognized networking organization of professional women in the country, spanning virtually every industry and profession, the National Association of Professional Women is a powerfully vibrant networking community with over 600,000 members and over 200 Local Chapters.
“I have been influenced by my maternal grandmother and her mother who were experts in the needle and culinary arts,” says Ms. Arnoult, a native of New Orleans. “My mother restored antique furniture at a time when her contemporaries were turning to modern silhouettes in the 1960s.”
Incorporating what she learned from her mother and grandmother into a unique style that is infused with “some Creole thrift,” Ms. Arnoult founded Ethereal Designs, LLC, where she offers vintage items, antiques and one-of-a-kind originals. “My specialty has become monograms, linens, china, crystal and silver,” she says. "Setting an inviting table is the prelude to a magnificent meal!” Among her talents is the ability to create unique items by reimagining and repurposing. “I recently acquired a linen hand towel for $1 that was full of holes, but the beautiful monogram was intact,” she recalls. “I rescued the monogram from the decaying towel and framed the single initial in a glorious little antique gold-leaf frame. It looks so very sweet!”
Ms. Arnoult sells her treasures at the LeBoulevard Marketplace located in the heart of Lakeview in New Orleans. Her home accessories are also available online through her website, which she is currently revamping to include a lifestyle blog. “Because etiquette is a dying art, I will include suggestions on how to handle life with style and grace in a fun and entertaining way,” says Ms. Arnoult. She hopes to expand her product line to include teas from around the world, complete with the proper accoutrements and opportunities for virtual tea parties that will give women a forum to exchange ideas and ask questions.
NAPW’s mission is to provide an exclusive networking forum to successful professional women where they can aspire, connect and achieve. Through innovative resources, tools and benefits, members interact, exchange ideas, advance their knowledge and empower each other.
