Garden City, NY (PRWEB) April 21, 2015 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Susan Binau, Founder of Soul Care Group, Inc., as a 2015 Professional Woman of the Year. Ms. Binau is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in business. With more than 700,000 members and over 200 Local Chapters, NAPW is the nation's leading networking organizaiton exclusively for professional women.
“I’m pleased to honor Susan with our Woman of the Year Award,” says NAPW President Star Jones. “Her selfless work and personal courage is helping and inspiring those suffering from serious illnesses and their families around the world.”
Susan Binau is a Global Philanthropist, Author, Entrepreneur and cancer survivor. Her strengths and reputation are grounded in her early successes with startup projects and educational programs for women leaders that required innovative thinking. She has been able to transfer these skills and capabilities into her present passion, which is helping families who are facing the effects of cancer.
It was after being diagnosed with stage 3-colon cancer in 2006 when Susan Binau promised herself that if she survived, she would devote her time to giving a voice to families facing cancer, terminal illness and loss. “With next-to-no budget, I authored several inspirational books and tools for people in need,” said Ms. Binau, who lost her father and five of her closest friends to cancer during her own fight with the disease.
Due to her incredible tenacity and strength, Ms. Binau succeeded in winning her battle with cancer. This victory resulted in her developing resources for families in the US and Europe to use when coping with terminal illness, death and grief.
Her decision to follow her heart despite the financial consequences has allowed her to fully focus on a way to create awareness about the subject of dignified passing and how to support children who have experienced the loss of a parent. Ms. Binau continues to lecture, write books and inspire others who are experiencing the same fight she battled and won.
