National Association of Professional Women Inducts Adrienne Gruberg, Founder/President of The Caregiver Space, Inc., Into its VIP Professional Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) September 23, 2016 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Adrienne Gruberg as a 2016-2017 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in a nonprofit organization. NAPW is the nation's leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 850,000 members, a thriving eChapter and over 200 operating Local Chapters.
“I’m pleased to welcome Adrienne into this exceptional group of professional women,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her knowledge and experience in her industry are valuable assets to her company and community.”
Self-motivated, results oriented and driven to succeed, Adrienne Gruberg is a seasoned professional who has constantly set her goals to keep pace with her highest aspirations for personal excellence. Throughout her career, she has exhibited exemplary team leadership, expertise, integrity and dedication.
After her husband and mother-in-law were diagnosed with cancer, Ms. Gruberg became a full-time caregiver. With all the responsibilities that came with that role, she felt she needed both emotional and disease specific information online and found a paucity of support for this segment of the population. “At last count, 65.7 million Americans are family caregivers and this number is growing fast,” she said.
At first, Ms. Gruberg envisioned a simple space for women who had been in her weekly online support group to keep in touch. “It didn’t take me long to see there was a desperate need for more help and I made a decision to change that,” she said. Sadly, her husband died in March of 2011 and by the end of her first year of widowhood, she was well underway with The Caregiver Space, Inc., and soon received 501(c)(3) not-for-profit status.
Today, The Caregiver Space, Inc., is growing in recognition on many social media platforms. They are currently at work on a “Faces of Care” project – an initiative to increase public awareness about the crisis we are facing. By stopping strangers to ask if they know a caregiver, Ms. Gruberg believes she can show that everyone has only one or two degrees of separation between themselves and someone among their family or friends who is one. In the near future, she would like to have a 24-hour live radio channel where they can take calls live, and would like to develop programming targeted at a terrestrial and online audience with shows addressing their needs.
The unwavering dedication demonstrated by Ms. Gruberg fully utilizes the aspirations for success that have earned her this recognition from the National Association of Professional Women, honoring her as an inspiration and a leader in her industry.
