National Association of Professional Women Inducts Allison Wysota, Founder / Director of Adam's House, Into its VIP Professional Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) March 01, 2016 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Allison Wysota as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in a nonprofit organization. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting 850,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters.
“I’m pleased to welcome Allison into this exceptional group of professional women,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her knowledge and experience in her industry are valuable assets to her company and community.”
Self-motivated, results oriented and driven to succeed, Allison Wysota is a seasoned professional who has constantly set her goals to keep pace with her highest aspirations for personal excellence. Throughout her career, she has exhibited exemplary teamwork, expertise, integrity and dedication.
Ms. Wysota is Founder and Director of Adam’s House. The soon-to-open center will offer grief education / bereavement services to families struggling with the loss of a loved one. Ms. Wysota was motivated to create this center after struggling to find peer support for her own sons following the unexpected death of her husband.
Adam’s House’s sessions will be arranged into different groups, depending on a child’s age. The Explorers are 3 to 6 years of age and they will explore and share their feelings through playing and art activities after losing a parent, sibling or a significant person in their lives. The children in the Middle School Group range from 7-to 12-years old and they will share
feelings about the loss of a loved one with support of their peer group. The 13- to 18- year olds participate in the Teen Group, where they will share experiences about the death of a significant person in their life. Adam’s House will also hold a Parent Group, where the surviving parent or caregiver(s) meets in a separate group with a trained facilitator. This offers the adults an opportunity to share their concerns and fears they are facing at home, all while supporting one another during a difficult time.
“It is my hope that when Adam’s House opens, grieving families will find a comforting place of solace, where they will find the support they need, and most of all, where they can heal,” says Ms. Wysota on the company’s website.
