National Association of Professional Women Inducts Attorney Sandra L. Tullius, Criminal Law Expert in the U.S. Army, Into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) July 29, 2015 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Attorney Sandra L. Tullius as a 2015 Professional Woman of the Year. Ms. Tullius is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in criminal law. As the largest, most-recognized networking organization of professional women in the country, spanning virtually every industry and profession, the National Association of Professional Women is a powerfully vibrant networking community and has more than 700,000 members and over 200 Local Chapters.

As a highly qualified criminal law expert in the U.S. Army, Jag, Attorney Tullius specializes in assisting JAG prosecutors around the world in the prosecution of cases involving special victim populations. She served as an Assistant and Senior Assistant State’s Attorney for the State of Connecticut from 1990 until 2009 when joined the Army as a prosecutor. She was a prosecutor for 20 years and had three duty stations; Tolland JD, the Chief State’s Attorney’s Office and the Hartford JD. During her 20 years as a prosecutor, Attorney Tullius assisted in numerous cases from infractions to Capital Felony Murder .
While at the Chief State’s Attorney’s Office, Attorney Tullius directed a statewide Statutory Rape Unit, combating statutory rape and child abuse, as well as being the only active prosecutor for hundreds of sexual assault cases. She was also responsible for developing protocols for law enforcement, prosecuting attorneys and social services. Attorney Tullius was inducted into her High School Hall of Fame for her work with children as victims of crime featured by the National District Attorney’s Association Prosecutor Magazine “In Profile” for her work with victims of child abuse. She was also recognized by Connecticut Sexual Assault Crisis Service for her work with victims of sexual assault.
