Garden City, NY (PRWEB) December 15, 2015 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Cathy R. Brown as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in business. NAPW is the nation's leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 775,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters.
“It gives me great pleasure to present Cathy with this important honor,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “I applaud her for using her expertise to build a successful business enterprise.”
Cathy Brown knows roofing. After all, she started working in her father’s business, Brown Roofing and Siding, Inc., when she was 12 years old. She continued working part time in the office through high school, and when she graduated, she joined the family business full time.
“In 2010, my father retired and turned the business over to me,” she said. “I have learned many, many things from him, but it still remains challenging. My responsibilities are to do whatever is needed to keep things running and making our customers happy. I love my job!”
As President, Ms. Brown ensures Brown Roofing and Siding, Inc., continues to offer quality home improvement services and ensures the company is always staying up-to-date on the many industry standards. She also knows the importance of employing a staff of top-notch workers who are dedicated professionals. “I have found that getting and keeping quality personnel is the most critical aspect,” said Ms. Brown. “Our employees have the knowledge and expertise that would make most any homeowner proud to say: Brown Roofing and Siding is the company to call!”
In the future, Ms. Brown, who is a member of the NRCA (National Roofing Contractors Association), plans to expand the services the company offers to include interior remodeling, and she hopes to get more involved with the nonprofit organization Project Home. “I would like to be able to contribute more to Project Home and their mission of helping those in the need in the community,” said Ms. Brown.
NAPW’s mission is to provide an exclusive, highly advanced networking forum to successful women executives, professionals and entrepreneurs where they can aspire, connect and achieve. Through innovative resources, unique tools and progressive benefits, professional women interact, exchange ideas, advance their knowledge and empower each other.
