Garden City, NY (PRWEB) July 14, 2015 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Cheryl R. Riley as a 2015-2016 inductee into the NAPW VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in business. With more than 700,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters, NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women.
"I’m pleased to recognize Cheryl with this important honor," said NAPW President Star Jones. "Her perseverance, work ethic and leadership qualities are an inspiration to all women."
Cheryl R. Riley is self-motivated, results oriented and driven to succeed. Always unique and curious about learning new things and reading voraciously, she has explored all that New York has to offer. For the past five years, Ms. Riley has been selling luxury interior brands and furniture, lighting and furnishings to architects, designers and consumers all over the world. Designing has been an interest of hers for many years. Inspired by her parents, her mother was a stylist and talented artist who filled her house with reproductions of French furniture and Renaissance paintings. Her father and his family owned many businesses. “It was he who taught me how being of service to your customers is the true art of the sale,” she said.
In addition to selling luxury interior brands, she keeps a variety of outside projects on her plate. She advises private collectors and corporations on purchases of artists of the African and Asian Diaspora. Ms. Riley also writes about contemporary artists for national magazines. Her exceptional communication skills and organization, along with travel, taking classes and attending lectures, all feed her creativity and connectivity.
In September 2015, the website ArtSpace.com will launch an online exhibit for which she was the curator, entitled, “Black Matters,” it is her response to contemporary issues. She will also be featured on THE ROOTS in a segment called “Investing in Art,” hosted by Harriette Cole that will air on July 22, 2015 at 11 am. She would like to create a life where technology allows her mobility to work anywhere so she can spend time experiencing more of the world for inspiration and knowledge.
