National Association of Professional Women Inducts Cindy J. Marvin, Owner / Coach / Educator at Repairenting LLC, Into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NJ (PRWEB) June 23, 2015 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Cindy J. Marvin as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in parenting coaching. NAPW is the nation's leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 700,000 members and over 200 operating local chapters.

As a single mother, Ms. Marvin knows only too well the challenges and frustrations parents face when raising their children. “Raising kids is not for wimps. My goal is to help empower parents so they can connect with their children in a peaceful way, to become empathetic listeners and to be compassionate,” she said. “Sometimes, we set unrealistic expectations for our children at certain ages. We need to step into their world, listen to their requests and identify their needs. If we can do that instead of demanding they comply with our wants, relationships can be formed in a loving and respectful way.”
To guide them through the often-turbulent child-rearing years, Ms. Marvin founded Repairenting LLC, where she strives to strengthen the relationship bond between parent and child. By helping to empower parents to set healthy limits for their children, the child gains self-confidence and learns to become resilient. In turn, the parents learn to be better role models. It’s a win-win for all family members.
In addition to coaching private clients, Ms. Marvin also reaches out to the school community, particularly pre-schools. She recognizes the staff at many daycare centers need help too. Her goal is to hold workshops at these facilities to train caregivers, helping them to recognize a child’s needs and meet them with respect and compassion so they can instill the child’s self-worth, self-control and intrinsic motivation.
Ms. Marvin, who has a finance background, has been certified by the Jai Institute for Parenting, Boys Alive and a graduate of the Robbins-Madanes Center For Strategic Intervention. As an active participant in the Robbins-Madanes Coach Training Program, she has honed her skills as a parenting coach and is adept at helping parents get to the main source of issues that may be preventing them from having healthy, long-lasting relationships with their children.
