Garden City, NY (PRWEB) April 25, 2017 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Dawn Goeringer as a 2016-2017 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in a nonprofit organization, nance and accounting. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 850,000 members, a thriving eChapter and over 200 operating Local Chapters.
“I’m pleased to welcome Dawn into this exceptional group of professional women,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her knowledge and experience in her industry are valuable assets to her company and community.”
On a daily basis, Ms. Goeringer assesses how many patients are in the hospital, how many surgeries or procedures are expected for that day, and has beds available for every patient who needs one. As Chief Nurse, Ms. Goeringer ensures that she has enough nurses working every shift in every specialty to deliver the expected evidenced-based care to each patient. She scans numerous metrics to determine if all regulatory, financial and service standards are met.
Ms. Goeringer also supports recruitment of new physicians to her hospital by ensuring that nurses are thoroughly trained, competent to give patient care according to the physicians’ orders and can observe for potential complications. Recruiting talented nurse leaders and creating a vision of how the nurses’ work contributes to the success of the hospital through highly satisfied patients are Ms. Goeringer’s greatest strengths. Hearing patients describe how wonderful the nurses have been and how the care has been heartfelt and timely is her most rewarding experience.
