National Association of Professional Women Inducts Frankie Kovacs, Business Teacher, Fort Wayne Community Schools, Into its VIP Professional Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) December 17, 2015 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Frankie Kovacs as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in education. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting 850,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters.

Frankie Kovacs brought over 14 years of experience as an educator to her position in the Fort Wayne Community Schools (FWCS) system. Her career started in 2001 in Aurora, CO, teaching personal finance, business law and keyboarding at Gateway High School. She then moved to the Fort Wayne, IN, and the FWCS system in 2003 teaching marketing, sports marketing and entrepreneurship.
Today, Ms. Kovacs continues her career in the FWCS system. She teaches Advanced Business Introduction to Computers which is part of the Early College program, and counts for dual credit with Ivy Tech Community College. She is also the coordinator for Work Based Learning. These courses are not part of a traditional curriculum, but are important life skills.
“I take pride in watching the ‘light bulb’ go off in the faces of my students,” Ms. Kovacs said. “Witnessing them learn, discover new things, make important connections and grow and develop is most rewarding to me.”
Ms. Kovacs earned her Bachelor’s degree from Marshall University in both Physical and Business Education. As proof of her commitment to grow as an educator, she went back to school while working in 2006 and earned a Master’s degree in Education and Career and Technical Education (CTE) from Ball State University.
When not teaching, Ms. Kovacs is a member of the Indiana Business Education Association and the National Business Education Association and enjoys traveling, jogging and scrapbooking.
