National Association of Professional Women Inducts Jana Salocks, Head of Marketing and Strategy of 360 PhotoTour, Into its VIP Professional Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) June 09, 2015 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Jana Salocks as a 2015-2016 inductee into the NAPW VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in photography. With more than 700,000 members and over 200 operating local chapters, NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women.
"It gives me great pleasure to recognize Jana with this prestigious award,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Together with her partner, she has created a successful business enterprise for her clients and community.”
Having worked as a political staffer, a campaign manager, and a federal proposal and contract coordinator, Ms. Salocks’ describes her path to digital and social media marketing as anything but linear. “Surprisingly, I discovered my passion while on medical leave from a federal contract position in Washington, D.C.,” says the Director of Marketing and Strategy at 360 Photo Tour, a certified provider of Google Trusted Photography. The subcontractor to Google provides search engine optimization services including production of Google Maps Business View virtual tours, TourDash, and High Dynamic Range (HDR) photography.
Not wanting her physical injury to hold her back, Ms. Salocks actively pursued opportunities to develop new expertise and strengthen her professional future. She began by developing a new website and creating social media accounts for her friend and well-known Washington, D.C. artist, Mike L. Boone of Boone Gallery. She researched the digital marketing industry, took classes in business and social media marketing, and networked. Through a friend, she was introduced to her eventual business partner and Google Trusted Photographer, Brian Rawlins, who started 360 Photo Tour. “Consumers today are more empowered by technology to research businesses, products, and services than ever before. When I saw that Google Business View virtual tours created that transparency that consumers now expect from businesses, I knew it was the next logical step in digital marketing strategy,” says Ms. Salocks. “I immediately told Brian I wanted to get involved.”
In her role at 360 Photo Tour, Ms. Salocks plays a key role in creating winning marketing strategies and uses her expertise in logistics and communications to show businesses how to adapt to today’s “Internet of Things.” She also manages the company’s social media platforms, search engine marketing, web development, business development, and operations.
Ms. Salocks is continually fascinated by the fast-paced world of technology and social media, and welcomes the challenges these changes bring. She and her business partner are continually expanding the services they offer to meet the evolving expectations of the digital marketplace. “I love helping businesses bridge that information gap with an updated digital marketing strategy,” says Ms. Salocks. “We’re in the ‘Age of the Consumer’ and consumers want to know what they’re going to get from businesses before they get it. By helping businesses meet those expectations, 360 Photo Tour helps businesses become more competitive in the marketplace, and helps consumers make the best purchase decision for themselves. It’s a great win-win!”
