Garden City, NY (PRWEB) April 18, 2017 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Jill Beckstedt as a 2017-2018 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in entrepreneurship. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 850,000 members, a thriving eChapter and over 200 operating Local Chapters.
“I’m pleased to welcome Jill into this exceptional group of professional women,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her knowledge and experience in her industry are valuable assets to her company and community.”
Nearly 40 years ago, Jill Beckstedt was a military wife working as a Registered Medical Technologist MT(ASCP). Needing to supplement her income, she took on a second job selling Mary Kay cosmetics. What started out as a temporary position, though, evolved into a full- time career after just a few months. “That was 37 years ago,” she said. “Four million dollars in commissions and 17 pink Cadillacs later, I am still growing and learning, and loving every minute of it.”
Ms. Beckstedt is inspired by Mary Kay Ash’s mission to nurture, empower, stretch and reward women. She works tirelessly to provide “guidance, education, skills and leadership for the 200 women in my immediate team and the 1000+ women in our extended team.” Whether mentoring a woman with the highest career aspirations, or guiding a consultant who sees it as a side business, Ms. Beckstedt uses the many skills she has honed throughout her career, including team building, lead generation, client acquisition, expert skin analysis, makeup artistry, networking, entrepreneurial business development, business coaching, time leverage, business capitalization and financial strategy.
Rewarded when a woman she has mentored and coaches achieves her goals, Ms. Beckstedt has a few more things she hopes to accomplish in the future. “My next goal is to grow my multi- state base unit of 200 women to the next step, achieve $1M in retail production in one year and to develop five new Independent Sales Directors,” she said. Ms. Beckstedt is also the Chapter Representative for Pasco County, FL with Flourish Networking for Women, and hopes to grow the chapter to include 30 professional business owners.
