National Association of Professional Women Inducts Kim Ethridge, Website Manager of Chesapeake Bay Foundation, Into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) December 15, 2015 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Kim Ethridge as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in business. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting 850,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters.
“I’m pleased to welcome Kim into this exceptional group of professional women,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her outstanding work as a Website Manager and her continued pursuit of professional excellence illustrates her commitment to her chosen field.”
Kim Ethridge has secured her reputation as a caring, capable and honest businesswoman, who is extremely knowledgeable about public relations, communications, digital media and content strategy. For the past 20 years, she has held responsibilities in many aspects of digital communication, including e-mail, advocacy, fundraising, social media and special projects.
Ms. Ethridge joined the Chesapeake Bay Foundation’s digital team in 2005. Four years ago, she became Web Content Manager, responsible for ensuring quality, consistent and strategic online communications. She is also currently a team leader in the migration of the site to a new content management system, part of an enterprise-wide technology upgrade.
“I strive for clarity and consistency in messaging and user experience,” she said. “I look at each piece of content, not only in its independent form, but also consider its interdependence with the rest of the site,”
Ms. Ethridge draws on her strategic communications, project management, and editorial and design experience every day. She endeavors to put herself in the audience’s shoes to create the most user-friendly and positive experience for them. She would eventually like to get back to managing larger web projects and working with a team of skilled designers, writers and developers.
To promote her new creative endeavor of designing jewelry and accessories, Ms. Ethridge has recently opened an Etsy store. Her efforts support To Write Love On Her Arms (twloha.com), which finds hope and help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. Ms. Ethridge donates 40% of her profits to the foundation.
