National Association of Professional Women Inducts Maryam Imam, J.D., Managing Partner, IPX Law Group, LLP, Into its VIP Professional Woman of the Year Circle

She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in law. Maryam Imam brings 25 years of legal experience, coupled with nine years of practice as an Electrical Engineer, to her position as Managing Partner at IPX Law Group, LLP. According to the firm’s website, she “practices in the areas of patents, trademark, copyright counseling, prosecution, interference, due diligence and litigation in federal and state courts as well as the US Patent and Trademark Office,” and has “represented and continues to represent a variety of high-technology US and foreign-based clients as an intellectual property attorney.”
A graduate of Peninsula University School of Law, Ms. Imam touts an impressive resume featuring four different positions as Company Counsel. She owned her own law practice for ten years prior to assuming her current role. Her skills and areas of expertise include intellectual property, patents, trade secrets, licensing and trademarks.
Ms. Imam has drafted a plethora of patents who were the subject of a complex patent litigation suit that resulted in licensing revenues for the firm’s client. She has also presented trademark applications to patent and trademark appeals boards, and manages entire intellectual property portfolios for both small and large companies.
Going beyond her job duties, Ms. Imam has lectured at Hangzhou University in China, and has taught intellectual property law, ethics and business at Santa Clara University in California. She is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association and the California Bar.
