National Association of Professional Women Inducts Tracy King, President / Founder at InspirEd, LLC, Into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) June 23, 2015 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Tracy King as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in education and consulting. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 700,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters.
“I’m pleased to welcome Tracy into this exceptional group of professional women,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “She is a great example of how education and passion can lead to new pathways of success.”
After 15 years in adult education serving both academic and association industries, Tracy King is now transitioning into consulting full time with her company, InspirEd. As a consultant, she teaches about the intersection of neuroscience and learning design, works with organizations on education architecture and instructional design, and partners with an association management company bringing her expertise to their association clients.
“What I love is that the neuroscience of learning is continuing to evolve—there’s so much more to know about the brain and how we master new knowledge and skills. I’m also fascinated by the intersection of technology and how we can better leverage tech to deliver education. It’s creative and innovative. And understanding the ‘why’ of how the brain learns makes delivering great education that more rewarding,” she said.
One of Ms. King’s biggest challenges is motivating faculty to let go of their old habits of teaching and embrace evidence-based instructional design methods. For most, change is difficult. She explains how to apply learning design and integrate it into daily practices. Her goal is to continue to pursue her passion for education through InspirEd to reach a broader audience with insights into neuroscience and deliver meaningful adult continuing education experiences. She is planning to develop an instructional design team in eLearning, which is an expertise many organizations are eager to use.
Ms. King’s upcoming speaking events include: July-Minnesota eLearning Summit; August-ASAE Annual Meeting; August-Distance Learning & Teaching Conference at the University of Wisconsin; and November-MSAE Meeting Summit.
