The article also explained how a balance transfer works in lowering down interest rates on credit cards. As the name suggests, consumers simply transfer the balance of one card to another with a lower rate. It is not uncommon to see 0% rates although consumers need to be aware that these are oftentimes introductory rates and can switch back to regular rates after some time.
